Both essential and unique parts of the recording process. Traditionally, a producer is behind the logistical side - organizing the studio in which the music, interview or commercial spot will be recorded, which songs will appear on a record, and giving some direction to the artists on particular sounds and techniques. Alternatively, music engineering delves into the technical aspect of the recording process. We’re highly trained in using the recording tools in the studio, as well as working with musicians to get a particular sound out of the equipment. While the jobs are completely different, we do BOTH at Candlewood.
We have produced and edited 30 minute radio shows for New Victoria Productions "Groundbreakers" including interviews with Joey Molland (Badfinger), Randy Bachman (BTO), Betty LaVette, The Flirtations, Vince Martell (Vanilla Fudge), Steve Boone (Lovin' Spoonful), Felix Cavaliere (The Rascals) and Buffy St. Marie to name a few. We offer production, recording, editing, songwriting, and more. The audio in this video is a sample of what we produced for recording artist Katie Freeberg.
We charge $75 per hour for Music Production & Audio Engineering and are happy to discuss your project and give you an estimate.
